This is a post from 9 years ago. When I was volunteering, working on the front lines with a non-profit organization, caring for and supporting seniors in our community.

That experience taught me the importance of compassion, dignity, and making sure seniors have the support they deserve. Today, I remain committed to building a stronger and more caring community for our seniors. My love for the people will always be the same.

During my visit to a local recycling depot, the owner shared a concern that many local businesses face Frequent theft and property crime.

He told me that break-ins and theft have become a serious issue, leaving business owners feeling frustrated and unsafe.

If I am elected to Burnaby City Council, I will advocate for stronger community safety by supporting Neighbourhood Watch programs, increasing collaboration between residents and police, and working to hire more police officers to help protect our neighbourhoods, businesses, and families.

Everyone deserves to feel safe where they live, work, and run a business. Protecting public safety and people's property must remain a top priority.

Together, let's build a safer Burnaby for everyone.

I want to recognize and thank the South Burnaby Neighbourhood House team, staff, volunteers, and community partners for their incredible dedication to serving our community.

A neighbourhood house is so much more than just a building. It is a place where people connect, families find support, seniors stay engaged, newcomers feel welcomed, and neighbours build lasting friendships. Events like this bring people of all ages and backgrounds together, making Burnaby a stronger, kinder, and more inclusive city.

Thank you to everyone who works behind the scenes to make these programs and events possible. Your commitment truly makes a difference in the lives of so many people.

I find it quite interesting.

The more people I engage with, the more online attacks from other parties seem to come my way.

I'm not afraid of criticism and attacks. What matters is my character and my actions.

I earned my Doctor of Medicine degree after years of rigorous education, training, and intense competition. I have dedicated the past two decades to healthcare and non-profit service, working to improve senior care and strengthen our communities.

I don't steal.
I don't rob.
I don't gamble.
I don't use drugs.

People are free to have different opinions, but I will continue to let my work and my integrity speak for themselves.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me. I will keep working hard to strengthen Burnaby's healthcare foundation and improve senior care for our community.

The truth doesn't fear scrutiny. Time and actions will always speak louder than rumours.

I was honoured today to share my vision for improving healthcare infrastructure in Burnaby with Dr. Andrew Yu, a highly respected senior anesthesiologist.

I sincerely appreciate Dr. Yu's guidance, encouragement, and strong support. His valuable advice has inspired me as I continue working to improve healthcare and senior care in Burnaby.

Together, I hope we can create a better affordable healthcare environment and attract more family physicians and specialists to establish their practices in Burnaby.

Ultimately, the greatest beneficiaries will be the people of Burnaby, with better access to healthcare and more timely treatment.

Had a fantastic time playing soccer with our friends from Nelson Avenue Community Church last weekend! โšฝ๏ธ

Thank you for the warm fellowship, great conversations, and lots of laughs. It's always wonderful to spend time together, stay active, and celebrate the strength of our community.
