From August 9th to 16th, 2026, they will need more than 1,500 volunteers to make the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Medicine Hat 2026 possible. You can volunteer for a couple of hours to a full day or all week!!!

Over the coming weeks, Grasslands Regional FCSS will be highlighting some of the incredible individuals and organizations who help make the Brooks-Newell Region a stronger and more connected place to live.

Today, we are proud to recognize REDI Enterprises Society volunteers as recipients of our 2026 Community Impact Awards.

The nomination highlighted the many ways REDI participants contribute to our community through volunteerism, kindness, and community involvement. Whether supporting local events, helping others, participating in community activities, or simply showing up with a positive attitude, REDI volunteers demonstrate the power of inclusion, connection, and service.

The nomination spoke about the importance of creating spaces where people feel respected, valued, and empowered. Through their volunteer efforts, REDI participants help build exactly that kind of community - one where everyone has something meaningful to contribute and everyone has a place to belong.

The support and encouragement provided by REDI staff help create opportunities for participants to build confidence, develop new skills, and become active members of the community.
