Research shows that sport-specific training is KEY as you get closer to your season and while in season. You need to be fine-tuning those motor pathways so that the communication between your brain and your riding muscles is crisp, clear, and effective.
The off-season is for building, the competition season is for refining.
The Summer Buckle Series challenge is completely sport-specific.
Ex. There are no push-ups (when are you ever pushing your horse or reins away from you?) That's wasting energy and time on your pecs and triceps compared to an exercise that uses the muscles that need to fire when you're barrel racing, such as a side plank rotation with your bottom leg lifted.
Your external obliques, internal obliques, transverse abdominus, serratus anterior, adductors, erector spinae group, and internal hip rotators are all activated in a side plank.

This program is specifically designed for busy working women who want to fit in competing and succeed at it. I'll show you how to fit the workouts in when it's convenient for you to make a habit out of it.
2) I'm old and out of shape. Will this be too much for me?
Yes, this one is for competitors looking to maximize their performance; but we have 2 other courses that are low impact and the exercises are great for those in that category.
3) I've had trouble sticking to programs in the past. What makes this one different?
