Got a beloved shirt that needs some mending? Frayed jeans that need some hemming?
We will have several sewing specialists ready to help with repairs of textiles. Sewing machines available on site for mending.
Drop by the Lunenburg Library on Saturday September 19th, anytime between 1-4pm, and we'll help you out. Come early if you can -- the sewing station is usually a busy spot!

After a summer hiatus, we are pleased to announce THREE Repair Cafe events happening across Lunenburg County for Fall 2026!

We are so proud to have participated in the Canadian Repair Convention, held in Halifax last week! Etienne Baqué represented our team as a panelist in the "Community Empowerment and Repair" discussion. The two-day event was an excellent opportunity for sharing of ideas and resources, discussing barriers and opportunities for the repair movement, as well as networking with other repair enthusiasts from across the country! Time well spent. 👨‍🔧🛠️👩‍🔧

Did you know that the Canadian Repair Convention is happening in Halifax next week?? The Convention is a national gathering dedicated to exploring the growing Right to Repair movement in Canada. Bringing together scholars, policymakers, industry professionals, community repairers, and students, it provides a forum for discussing how repair affects sustainability, innovation, consumer rights, and economic resilience.

We are very proud to have Etienne Baqué, one of our key Repair Café organizers, participate in the "Community Empowerment and Repair" panel.

On Saturday May 2nd, our springtime Repair Cafe was held at The Mahone Bay Centre and was a great success! Here are the stats:
* over 137 items fixed (out of 152)
* 51 guests with items to be fixed (and more guests who dropped by to see what it's all about)

We continue to be amazed in seeing such an amazing turnout at these events, and the great interest in prolonging the life of beloved items.

We are taking a little break over the summer, but we'll back in full force -- with three events planned for the fall already! Follow our page and/or see nsrepairs.ca to see the updates!
