It’s more than a pair of underwear. It’s dignity 🤍
It’s crazy how something as simple as a new fresh pair of underwear can change how you feel about yourself. But it really does. It’s about dignity.
When times are tough and money is tight, buying new underwear and bras is usually the very first thing to get cut from the budget. But honestly, everyone deserves that basic feeling of putting on something brand new, something that actually fits, belongs to them. That’s exactly why we started From The Inside Out.
The idea actually goes back to when Grace was in Grade 8 at her local public school. She realized back then that schools really struggle to get donations for these specific, personal items, and it always stuck with her. So earlier this year, we finally decided to do something about it.
We launched our first official underwear and bra drive, and to be completely honest, we had no idea what to expect. What we quickly found out was pretty heartbreaking: these are items people rarely think to donate, even though the need is huge.
When we dropped off our donations at the Compassion Society, the team there was so blown away. It was a wake-up call for us, and since then, those items have gone straight to local families and individuals who really needed them.
A new pack of underwear or a new bra might seem small, but it’s a simple way to make someone feel cared for, respected, and truly seen. Asking for help shouldn't mean you have to give up your dignity, and basic necessities shouldn't be treated like a luxury.
Please help us spread the word. Start a conversation about this, watch for us next year when we host our bags throughout the city again, donate if you're able to, and remember that sometimes the smallest things make the biggest impact.
Everyone deserves to feel good from the inside out.
