Sharing from FOCA! It’s safe boating week… and some great tips that help keep our many lakes and waterways in New Brunswick free from the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species!

🌊 Protect the Lakes You Love 🚤

As part of Safe Boating Awareness Week, FOCA reminds you to:
✔️ Clean
✔️ Drain
✔️ Dry
before moving your boat to another lake or waterbody.

These simple steps help stop the spread of invasive species and protect Ontario’s waterways for future generations.

Healthy lakes start with all of us. (Thanks to our partners at CSBC for the boating image!) Learn more at foca.on.ca/boating

Before moving your boat from one lake or river to another, be sure to clean and wash it thoroughly to help prevent the spread of invasive species and protect our beautiful waterways. 🌊🩵

We’re off to Nanny’s camper tomorrow but before we do that we need to — Clean, Drain, Dry.

It only takes a few minutes to help protect the lakes and rivers we all enjoy. Aquatic invasive species can spread incredibly easy from one waterway to another on boats, trailers, nets, anchors, and gear. Once they’re introduced, the damage can last for years or forever!

✅ Clean off all mud, plants, and debris
✅ Drain all water from your boat and equipment
✅ Let everything dry before entering another waterway

Let’s make cool again this summer!
