Advocates for Angels in Motion Fundraising Society

Advocate for Angels in Motion Fundraising Society started as a community-supported, grassroots, non-profit made up of a network of volunteers from across Nova Scotia who have connected with us through many different community groups, businesses, schools, and more. Recently established in 2019 as a Community Advocacy for people/families in need. People/families asking for assistance are directed to our community outreach advocates for assessment. Together with the Advocate, they create an action plan to participate in. Advocates assist persons or families by creating awareness of the various programs and other relevant services and agencies within the community and or province-wide.

Many people who come to us are crushed by the weight of life and are seeking assistance in various forms. It is with a consistent message of hope, an attitude of enthusiasm and positivity of finding appropriate housing if necessary, medical equipment notable to be found within various other programs or organizations due to lack of funds, equipment, or criteria. Assist with the search of employment, finding appropriate addiction & Life Skills programs if required in the community in which they reside.

In the future, we strive to provide a safe place for others to be themselves and build positive relationships, to network with other organizations.

* With a community of societies and organizations of non-profit or not for profit networked we believe that the community not only will benefit from being self-sufficient. Will allow for more growth more sustainable. To better support, our goal is to support our local businesses including farms. They are the backbone of our many communities within the county.

Advocates for Angels in Motion Fundraising Society are responding to countless other calls for other assistance.

It is a starting a place where people can have a hope of fresh start while being provided the basic ingredients for growth, success - warmth, friendship, and free from judgment.

* Advocates for Angels in Motion Fundraising Society respect the opinions of others and treat all with equality, equity, and dignity without regard to gender, race, color, and creed, or ancestry, place of origin, political beliefs, religion, marital status, disability, age, sexual orientation or economic status.

We provide the following quality of life requirements through fundraising and donations provided by groups, businesses, people, and foundations.

No one should feel alone, and everyone deserves to be heard. No one should feel as though their words are being felt unheard.

Our goals;

* Advocates of Angels in Motion Fundraising Society provide quality of life necessities to those in need who have long term permanent disabilities based on hardship. Whether its mobility, terminal illness quality of life necessities, provide emergency clothing to families for a home lost due to floor, fire, and sinkhole. (*1) Extracurricular activities (Sports) for low-income families.

* To assist with rental and or purchase of required equipment or medical medication not covered by pharmacare, MSI, or private medical plans. (*2)

* Together with our clients, we take the headaches away from worrying about fundraising or what to do and where.

* Provide food on emergency bases when other organizations aren't operating due to past operating hours and or days.

* Assist with Employment search, resume writing, finding homes in residential areas, assist with documentation hard to find for Canadian programs for a disability that aren't widely known, assist with filling out government forms, and as well income tax filing.

* In the near future assist with awarding Academic Scholarships in different community high schools.

* Help with meal programs at schools.

* Assist with Medical to and from medical appointments.

* To assist with home renovations for the purpose of medical requirements based on illness disability. Wheelchair accessible ramps, widening of doors, installation of grab bars, and accessories required. (*3)

* Future goal: to be able to provide peer support, and various other counseling required with certified councilors.

* Advocate for Angels Christmas Wish family program.

(*1,2,3) Note: *Requirement long term wheelchair or bed-bound persons or sight-impaired persons, with written medical documentation supported by the physician or medical specialists.

Advocates for Angels in Motion anyone who needs help with fundraising, we can customize a package that works for you based on your interests, when required, from start to finish. Including refers venue for a fundraiser.
