Need Volunteer Hours??? We can help you with that!

But even if you don't need volunteer hours, we could sure use some help unloading the items we gathered "after the town garage sale" on SATURDAY, JUNE 20th.

This is a fundraiser our club does which is supported by Value Village on Wellington Rd S. and we could use some help when we drop these items off Saturday morning at 11 am.

Need a few more hours? We could also use some help loading these items up on Friday night at 5:30 pm.

Please leave us a message below or contact Swan Tracy Vink-Taylor at 226 973 5758 (call or text)

Our June meeting was a busy one!

Guests from Kettle Creek and Lambton Shores Swans joined us for our dinner meeting and some delicious strawberry shortcake 😊 So glad you ladies could make it!

We were also pleased to welcome Swans Ontario President Sherry Wismer and District 1 Swans President who presided over our 50th anniversary recognition service for Swans Joyce and Janet and induction ceremony for Jen Keenan.

Belmont Swans Deb McFarlan and Nancy Luftenegger presented Swans Ontario President Sherry Wismer with a $500.00 donation for one of her projects - Eyes Right; and a $500.00 donation to District 1 Swans President Amanda Brand for one of her projects - Community Living - Lambton Shores.

Welcome Jen Keenan to the Belmont Swans!

50 YEARS!
What an amazing night we had at our June meeting celebrating 50 years of community/volunteer service by two of our chartered members - JOYCE LEAL and JANET PAYNE.

Both ladies are original/founding members of the Dorchester Lioness Club when it was chartered in 1976. Eventually the Dorchester Club disbanded and the Belmont Lioness were pleased to welcome them into our club so that they could continue their vision of strengthening our community while having a sense of purpose and fulfillment while creating meaningful relationships over the years.

Holding many different positions within the Lioness (now Swans) organization, these ladies have put in countless hours volunteering to raise awareness and funds for community activities, projects and local charities.

Last night, the Belmont Swans along with District 1 Swans President Amanda Brand and Swans Ontario President Sherry Wismer were honoured to present Swans Joyce and Janet with their 50 year pin and Certificate of Appreciation.

Thank you ladies for all that you have contributed over 50 years to make our club such a success. Your hard work and dedication is truly appreciated!

Belmont Swans donated $600 to the YMCA "Fill the Bus" Campaign!
Eric Seed & Diana Pereira accept our donation which was presented by Swans Deb, Linda and Joyce.

This annual initiative raises funds to send kids to day camp by covering costs such as registration fees, camp supplies and meals so children can attend regardless of financial situation.

Thanks to Jackpot Time for providing the venue to support our fundraising goals.

Belmont Swans donated $300 to the London VOLT Hockey team and we were very excited to have Carrie Orchard, Team Manager, be our guest speaker accompanied by VOLT player, Sammy McElroy at our May meeting.

VOLT Hockey is an accessible form of floor hockey adapted for players with mobility limitations and a variety of disabilities. It is played in a specially designed electric chair with a stick attached.
VOLT Hockey offers young people (ages 6+ to young adult) an opportunity for youth with disabilities to participate in a sport which encourages teamwork, commitment, making friends and of course, having fun! See poster below for further information.

VOLT now has 8 teams across Ontario - London, Toronto, Niagara, Thunder Bay, Barrie, Oshawa, Hamilton & Peterborough. VOLT Hockey is played by over 50 teams in Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the United States, and now in Canada.

Thanks to Jackpot Time St. Thomas for providing the venue that supports us in our fundraising efforts.
