Wow!!!
What a day, we asked Basinview Elementary, Bedford South Elementary and Bedford Academy to host food drives for us for Thanksgiving.
This is only two thirds of the total donations! Still have another truck load to go.
On top of all this the folks from Bedford Newcomers Group dropped by with both food and cash donations.
It’s heartwarming to see this much community support, thanks to you all.
Oh, and stay tuned, Rocky Lake Drive Elementary is doing a food drive as well later this month!

A big thank you today to East Coast Credit Union!
We were the recipients today from their Community Compass Grant.
A donation of $1,500.00 to our food Pantry.
This will go a long way to allowing us to support families in need.

Thank you all very much.

Hi All

I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Phil King and the great folks at Hamster Office Products.
We needed boxes for food drives happening in local schools, I was hoping for old used boxes, instead the great folks at Hamster donated fifty brand new boxes.

Thanks very much!

What a great idea!
Someone dropped off these gifts of back to school supplies.
Thanks to whoever you are!

A big shoutout to Diane Nickerson and Ed Dean.
For Ed’s birthday ( 39’th I think) instead of gifts they asked for donations for the Lions Food Pantry. This is the result!

WOW!
Look at this!

The Suburban FC U18A boys soccer team just donated
5 dozen ears of corn
25lbs of green beans,
25lbs of yellow beans, and
25lbs of cucumbers.

What an incredible group of young men!

Thanks so very much.

I wanted to take a minute to thank all of you who have dropped off donations lately.
Our local schools are amazing with the support they provide for us but we struggle in the summer so a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who takes the time and effort to drop off donations lately. We couldn’t do what we do without you.

Two of our Lions members recently arranged food donation drives for the pantry at their apartment buildings. These pictures show the amazing results.
Thanks Gordon and Warren.
If anyone else would like to arrange a food drive at your buildings we can provide all the signage and boxes you would need and will happily pick the donations up.
Please give me a call or text at 902-488-4390

The amazing folks at Basinview Elementary have decided to set up a permanent donation bin for the Lions Food Pantry.
I dropped off signage about a week and a half ago thinking they’d be ready to go in the fall………
Nope, they set things up right away and look how much food they collected in less than two weeks.
I can’t thank them enough! Enjoy your summer break, we’ll see you in the fall.

Wow!

The Bedford Lions hosted a Seniors Dinner tonight and asked for a donation to the food pantry as the admission.
This amazing haul of groceries is the result.

Thanks very much to all who attended. This will all go to good use helping those in need.
