Community Living York South is a not-for-profit organization that provides support services to children, youth, adults and seniors who have an intellectual disability who live in Southern York Region and their families. We support people in directing their own lives and in promoting partnerships, opportunities, well-being, freedom and contributions in their community.

Last week, ACT Initiative held its very first Peer Mentor Group meeting, bringing together members from current and past ACT cohorts for an afternoon of connection, support, and community.

The Peer Mentor Group provided a welcoming space where participants built meaningful friendships, shared experiences, and learned from one another beyond the program. From discussing employment and volunteer opportunities to exploring different career paths, the conversations were filled with encouragement, insights, and inspiration.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a positive and supportive environment. We look forward to continuing to grow this community and strengthen the connections that make it so special.
