We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our community for once again generously supporting the Tree of Hope Campaign 2025. Because of your kindness, we raised $32,760.00 — funds that are being used to purchase a new neonatal cardiac monitor for the Emergency and Obstetrics departments at Barrhead Healthcare Centre.

We are so fortunate to live in a place that shows up for healthcare, not only at Christmas time but throughout the year. Your ongoing support truly matters, and it’s deeply appreciated.

Before the year turns, we want to pause.

Tonight marks the final day of this year’s Tree of Hope campaign.

Over the past weeks, our community showed up — with bulbs, bows, ornaments, stars, quiet gifts, and generous hearts. Some gave publicly. Many gave quietly. All of it mattered.

This campaign was never just about a tree.
It was about care. Readiness. And believing that local healthcare matters.

🌟 Gold Star Spotlight: Fountain Tire Barrhead 🌟

Community support doesn’t always arrive quietly — sometimes it shows up with bright lights, strong teams, and a whole lot of heart.

The Barrhead Healthcare Centre Auxiliary is deeply grateful to Fountain Tire Barrhead for their Gold Star donation to the Tree of Hope, supporting our goal of funding critical neonatal monitoring equipment for our hospital.

As of Christmas Eve, our community raised $22,780 through the Barrhead Tree of Hope.

This tree has stood at the entrance of the Barrhead Healthcare Centre throughout the season — quietly gathering names, memories, generosity, and care.

Every ornament represents a choice someone made to give back, even in a year that asked a lot from all of us.

A newborn may weigh just a few kilograms —
and yet their heart can beat more than 150,000 times a day.

Some babies need a little extra attention after birth.
That’s where neonatal cardiac monitoring matters.

🍼 Before birth, fetal monitoring tracks a baby’s heart during labour.
👶 After birth, neonatal monitoring watches a newborn’s heart rhythm, oxygen levels, and blood pressure — continuously.

A neonatal cardiac monitor helps staff notice tiny changes that mean something, with smart alarms and real-time information — so care can happen right away.

That’s why the Tree of Hope is fundraising for a second neonatal cardiac monitor for the Barrhead Healthcare Centre.

It means:
• Emerg and Obstetrics can each have access when needed
• Two babies can be monitored at the same time
• No sharing equipment between departments during critical moments

This season, the Tree of Hope reminds us that healthcare is about people —
the smallest patients, the families who trust us, and the community that supports them.
