Hello everyone,

We have a very special and somewhat last minute opportunity to share with our community. Tomorrow at 5:30 PM, everyone in Atlin is invited to join us at The Point for a potluck dinner and an evening with TRTFN citizen, author and nationally recognized speaker Rose LeMay.

Rose is the author of Ally Is a Verb: A Guide to Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples and a speaker, trainer and coach who has worked with thousands of Canadians across the country. Her work creates space for people to talk honestly about reconciliation, racism, Indigenous experiences and what it actually means to build stronger relationships with one another.

Her roots are here with the Taku River Tlingit First Nation, which makes having her home and available to sit with our community particularly meaningful. We also want people to know that this gathering is not only for those who already understand reconciliation. If you have wondered what reconciliation has to do with you, struggled to know what to say, found these conversations uncomfortable, or simply wanted to better understand experiences that are different from your own, you are welcome.

None of us has lived someone else's story. But we can listen to it.

We can sit at the same table, share food, ask thoughtful questions and learn something about the people with whom we share this beautiful place.

That is part of how real community is built. So All Community Members are welcome!

Join us For An Evening with Rose LeMay
