We have a guest speaker three times a year at our meetings. Their topics can be perennials, the environment, starting or
organizing your garden, butterfies, herbs, and other interesting material. If you would like to become a member, the yearly membership is $10. We have members who are active within the society and members who only wish to show their support for the Society by purchasing a yearly membership. Our bi-annual perennial plant sale is held on Saturday, the day before Mother's Day from 8am to 12pm at the Angus Mobile Home Park Recreation Centre off Cecil Street at the end of 3rd St. All our plants are potted up from the members gardens insuring study roots and no fungi. Our next perennial plant sale will be May 2013. Our annual Flower and Vegetable Show and Tea is held the last Saturday of August each year. The date for 2012 is Saturday August 25th at the Angus Mobile Home Park Recreation Centre off Cecil Street at the end of 3rd St. Judging of all entries under various catagories is done by an OHA Certified Judge. Entry to the show is free. The "Tea" consists of homemade sandwiches, homemade various desserts, cheese, pickles, tea, coffee and juice. Tea tickets are adults $5.00, children 6 to 12 years $2.00, under 6 years $1.00. The doors open at 1pm with awards presentations at 4:30pm.
