📢The Lakeview Community Centre Society would like to address information currently being circulated regarding an individual allegedly responsible for starting fires in our community.

At this time, the most important thing everyone can do is remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to 911 immediately. Please rely only on updates and information from official sources, including your local fire departments, the CSRD, and the RCMP.

We understand that many people are worried, scared, and concerned. Those feelings are completely understandable given the current situation. However, it is important that we avoid speculation or publicly identifying or accusing any individual without confirmed information from law enforcement. Doing so could place an innocent person at risk of confrontation or harm and may interfere with an ongoing investigation.

Let's continue to look out for one another, support our emergency responders, and help keep our community safe by sharing only verified information from official sources.
