Get networking with local leaders and creatives at this social networking event! Borrowing from the speed dating format, partners will be paired up on a rotating agenda to quickly get to know one another and make connections.

The Climate Cafe is co-hosted by Windsor of Change, Windsor-Essex Strong Towns , Active Transit Windsor-Essex , and the Windsor Environment and Climate Change Advisory Committee. Together, we're creating a space for people to connect over a drink, exchange perspective, and imagine new ways to build a sustainable Windsor-Essex.

Cool opportunity to explore the beautiful Peche Island!

Check your calendars, pack your bags! Peche Island Day will take place on August 9 2025.

With robust progress towards the Detroit River’s revival, this event provides committed partners with an opportunity to share remediation stories and celebrate successes with the public. Offerings include free boat rides to and from Lakeview Marina/Peche Island, sponsored by the Detroit River Canadian Cleanup. Guests can explore the island on foot, check out some educational displays and activities hosted by partners and attend a few hikes led by City of Windsor staff.

Tours begin each day at 10:00 a.m., and the last ride to the island takes place at 1:15 p.m, with a strict 2:30pm return time. Anyone interested can reserve a spot by calling (519) 255-1161. Pets and larger personal items such as bikes are not permitted due to safety and capacity concerns. Guests are asked to arrive 10 minutes early to sign a waiver, review two safety videos, and be fitted for a personal flotation device (PFD), which is required to be worn on the boat. Visitors are encouraged to reserve a spot. Walk-ons will be permitted on a first-come first-serve basis but cannot be guaranteed.
