A huge thank you to Rockland Public School - UCDSB

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Rockland Public School for their incredible generosity. Through their fundraising efforts, $500 was donated to Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue to help the colony cats we care for in Alfred.

Every act of kindness makes a real difference, and we are truly grateful to the students, staff, and everyone who contributed to this fundraiser. ❤️🐱

UPDATE from the rescue...

Sadly this little girl that we have named "Logan" is thought to be over 10yrs old. She is starved, emaciated and dehydrated. Unfortunately, her abdomen and lungs are full of fluid and she is having a very difficult time. We are making the decision to end her suffering and giving her as much love as we can in these last moments. Thank you for your help in this urgent rescue, your thoughts and donations for allowing us to try and gifting her kindness. We are very grateful to you. ❤️

🚨 Emergency cat intake from Alfred 🚨

A stray cat from Alfred was taken in as an emergency and is currently at the vet receiving care. I want to say a huge thank you to Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue for intaking this cat and arranging for her to be seen by a veterinarian right away.

I would also like to sincerely thank Jessie, who found this cat in her yard and acted quickly to find help. When asked, she safely secured the cat and even brought her directly to the veterinarian when help was found. We truly need more kind and compassionate people like this in our community. ❤️

If you would like to help with the emergency veterinary care fees, donations can be sent by e-transfer to: [email protected]. Please include “Alfred cat” in the note/message so the funds go directly toward her care.

Any amount, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. ❤️

Considering all the adorable pets you shared with us, there seemed to be some doubts about our Microsoft Paint skills...so we gave it a go.

Our next rabies vaccination clinic is on May 22, which means this poster is no longer a joke, it’s public health communication. Or is it art? We’ll leave that up to your interpretation.

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the Rockland Public School - UCDSB for organizing a bottle and can drive in support of my mission to help the Alfred stray cats.

The funds raised from the bottles and cans truly make a difference. They help support spay and neuter surgeries, provide food, and contribute toward essential veterinary care.

I am incredibly grateful for your support and for teaching such compassion to your students. 💛

🐾 Happy Tails Update 🐾

I am so happy to share that this sweet Breman has found his forever home 🏡💙

A huge thank you to Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue for making this possible. Breman was an incredibly sweet boy who loved spending long moments in my arms each day before he was taken into rescue. His new family is very lucky to have him, and I truly hope he feels just as lucky and loved in his new home 💕
