Bavaria made great progress today ! Normally, she runs away when I try to get close, but this time she let me approach her and pet her multiple times 😁. Usually, she's only comfortable with contact when she's the one who comes to me, and even then she doesn't let me pet her for very long.

She also finally discovered the windowsill and seems to be enjoying it.

Sorry for my annoying silly cat-mom voice lol 🥰🐾

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Rockland Public School for their incredible generosity. Through their fundraising efforts, $500 was donated to Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue to help the colony cats we care for in Alfred.

UPDATE from the rescue...

Sadly this little girl that we have named "Logan" is thought to be over 10yrs old. She is starved, emaciated and dehydrated. Unfortunately, her abdomen and lungs are full of fluid and she is having a very difficult time. We are making the decision to end her suffering and giving her as much love as we can in these last moments. Thank you for your help in this urgent rescue, your thoughts and donations for allowing us to try and gifting her kindness. We are very grateful to you. ❤️

🚨 Emergency cat intake from Alfred 🚨

A stray cat from Alfred was taken in as an emergency and is currently at the vet receiving care. I want to say a huge thank you to Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue for intaking this cat and arranging for her to be seen by a veterinarian right away.

I would also like to sincerely thank Jessie, who found this cat in her yard and acted quickly to find help. When asked, she safely secured the cat and even brought her directly to the veterinarian when help was found. We truly need more kind and compassionate people like this in our community. ❤️
