Cyrus Centre does amazing work in our community.

Fifteen years ago we made a video helping them tell their story. We’ve been fans ever since.

This year, we donated our time and services to create a video for their Leap of Faith fundraising event, and we brought along our new friend Jonathan Goldschmidt to help!

A young person can't ask for help if they don't know where to find it.

Recently, FortisBC helped refresh our Abbotsford Centre with new signage and site improvements as a part of their Community Giving Day.

The impact was almost immediate.

Staff have already had good conversations with people who said they'd passed our building for years without realizing what Cyrus Centre offered.

Now there's a clearer path to emergency shelter, meals, and support.

Thank you, FortisBC, for your generosity, Benjamin Moore - Abbotsford Paint & Decorating for the generous supply of all the paint and supplies for the building, and to the City of Abbotsford - The Hub Of The Fraser Valley for recognizing the importance of investing in young people.

A summer throwback to a meaningful initiative! ❤️ Before the school year ended, Abbotsford Traditional School students joined their teacher, Mrs. Thiessen, in volunteering their time and culinary skills to prepare a meal at Cyrus Centre Ministries. Their Capstone and Culinary Club initiative is a wonderful example of students using their skills to care for others in our community.👏🍽️

LEAP OF FAITH 2026

It was the experience of a lifetime, and yes, I would 💯 do it again (even though it almost gave my husband a heart attack 🙈).

To everyone who donated so I could do this (hopefully not) once in a lifetime experience, thank you! Every jumper commits to raising at least $800 and your support helps fund Home at Last, Cyrus Centre Ministries transitional housing program for youth aged 16–24 who are moving from crisis toward independence.

That means:

• A safe place to live
• Warm meals
• Life skills coaching
• Mentorship and steady, relational support

I felt very safe being guided by the team at Skydive Vancouver every step along the way. You don't need any experience to go tandem skydiving. Just a little bit of courage! Seriously - I barely had to do anything 😂.

Last week, more than 100 of you jumped out of a plane for Leap of Faith.

And together, this community raised $171,273 for young people at Cyrus Centre.

Thank you to everyone who jumped, gave, volunteered, sponsored, and cheered from the ground.

We're getting closer to our goal of $200,000, so there's still time to make a difference.

Thank you to for once again bringing energy, humour, and generosity to Leap of Faith.

This year, Cliff completed his second jump alongside his 16-year-old son, Simon, who wanted to make a positive impact in the community.

Cliff also served as our event emcee, keeping the crowd engaged and informed throughout the afternoon, right through to the final jumpers.

Thank you Cyrus Centre Ministries and Skydive Vancouver for such a fun event! Sign me up for next year!

I would definitely bring the whole family to the next event. I think my kiddos would've loved seeing all the jumpers, plus they'd enjoy the bouncy castles, balloon artist, ice cream, and more. Food and activities operate by donation using event tickets so it's a great way to contribute to the cause, even if you're not jumping.
