Following the enormously successful Mega Free Spay/Neuter Clinic hosted by Saga Humane Society this past week, San Pedro Pet Outreach is needing to replenish our supplies in preparation for the next clinic. We provided free flea/tick treatments, microchips, collars/leashes, and engraved ID tags to all of the pets, which has significantly diminished our resources. If you would like to help, we’ll post some Amazon links in the comments below. These are all supplies that we will always be needing to help support the pets in our community and their families. Wow! What a crazy, amazing week it’s been! The past six days went by in a blur as Saga Humane Society hosted a Mega Free Spay/Neuter Clinic, during which 213 pets received free surgeries courtesy of Dr. Bartfield and Dr. Bader from Travelling Animal Doctors, and Dr. Baptist. San Pedro Pet Outreach volunteers provided post-op monitoring, flea/tick treatments, ear cleaning, nail trimming, microchipping, engraved ID tags, and collars/leashes for all the pets, as well as transportation to/from the clinic for those who needed it. Our generous community kept us well nourished with delicious lunches donated by Hula Bar, Elvi’s Kitchen, Estel’s Dine by the Sea, Angler’s, Tropical Paradise, and Mission Impawsible. Thank you so much to everyone who helped to make this campaign such a huge success, especially the responsible pet owners who brought their dogs and cats into the clinic to help prevent unwanted litters. With the entire community working together like this, we can all help to get the pet overpopulation crisis under control on Ambergris Caye ❤️

San Pedro is experiencing a pet overpopulation crisis! Too many dogs and cats are being allowed to reproduce and their litters are ending up on the streets. Puppies and kittens are dying from starvation and untreated illnesses - but together we can make a difference! Spaying and neutering is a simple medical procedure that will improve the life and health of your pet and prevent unwanted litters.

SAGA Humane Society will be hosting a FREE Mega Spay/Neuter and Vaccination Clinic from July 22 through July 27! Please call SAGA at 226-3266 or stop by in-person to schedule an appointment.

San Pedro Pet Outreach can arrange free transportation for your pet to/from SAGA if needed - just send us a message. We will also be providing FREE nail trims, ear cleaning, flea/tick treatment, microchipping, engraved ID tags, and collars/leashes to all pets that are spayed or neutered this week! ❤️

SAGA Humane Society will host its largest free spay and neuter clinic of the year from July 22nd to 27th at the SAGA Shelter and Clinic.

We are looking for support from businesses in the San Pedro community who might be able to provide lunches for the volunteer vets and support staff during Saga Humane Society’s upcoming free spay/neuter clinic. The clinic will run from July 22-27. The surgical days will be long and fast-paced in order to spay/neuter as many pets as possible during that week. The surgeons and support staff will be “eating on the fly” rather than taking true lunch breaks. Any help is greatly appreciated ❤️
