Baby Christiana and Microcephaly Awareness Christiana Angelic Benedit was born on December 1st, 2019. At birth she was diagnosed with microcephaly.

This is a condition where a baby's head is much smaller than expected, which causes her brain to not develop properly. Her parents, Chris and Aretha were informed that there is a great chance Christiana may not live through microcephaly, as seizures are hard on a newborn and her little heart can stop during an episode. Doctors made a list of possible problems Christiana may face in her life; developmental and speech delays, vision issues, deformity, mild to severe learning disabilities, abnormal muscle tone, seizure, and poor weight gain and growth. Her parents brought her home with a determination to do everything they can to make her life as comfortable as possible.
