📢 Winterveldt Madressah Life Skills Training Success at Umveliqangi Safe Space & Youth Development Center, Winterveldt

Alhamdulillah!

We were truly honoured to host Dr. Simanga Elias Msutwana (FC Ophth SA, MBChB UKZN) — a qualified Ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon — as our special guest speaker during the Life Skills Training Programme.

Dr. Msutwana, who serves as Chairman of the Zainab Nkumane Healthcare Center, graciously shared valuable insights with our youth on health awareness, personal development, and the importance of serving the community with excellence and sincerity.

May Allah (SWT) bless Dr. Msutwana abundantly for his time, expertise, and dedication to our community. May He also reward the entire Winterveldt Madressah and Umveliqangi team for this meaningful initiative. Ameen.

Our young participants left inspired, motivated, and better equipped for the future. This is community empowerment in action.

We are thrilled to announce that under the visionary leadership of our Chairman, Amir Raheem Nkumane, Winterveldt Madressah NPO has achieved another milestone and renewed appointment/mandate to continue in our partnership with the Gauteng Department of Social Development

Our heartfelt gratitude to MEC Faith Mazibuko and the Gauteng DSD team for their trust and support. We also extend our appreciation to our Board, staff, volunteers, stakeholders, partners, and the incredible Winterveldt community for standing with us.

Alhamdulillah, with humility we share that our Sustainable Livelihood skills development programmes since 2019 to date have empowered over 110,000 young people in our community with practical, accredited training, building self-reliance and fighting poverty. Today, we received a renewed mandate to continue this vital work, transforming lives and uplifting our community.

As part of our ongoing outreach efforts, our information desk officer Mr Muhammad Lesego Masanabo joined by our Chairman Amir Raheem Nkumane mobilised over 400 young people today, sharing opportunities in skills training and entrepreneurship. We're committed to giving hope and support to our young people, encouraging them to take charge and build a better tomorrow. A big thank you to our partners for inviting us! Chairman of Winterveldt Madressah, Amir Raheem Nkumane, participated in the Unisa - The University of South Africa at the School Belonging Program (SBP) capacity building & training. The program aims to keep youth in school and foster a sense of belonging. Grateful for the opportunity to enhance skills and support this vital initiative.
