🌟 Happy International Men’s Day! 🌟

Today, the Zera Foundation for Equity and Empowerment celebrates the strength, resilience, and positive impact of men in our communities.

We honor the fathers, brothers, sons, mentors, and allies who are championing equality, standing up for the wellbeing of others, and helping build a world where everyone can thrive.

This year’s theme reminds us of the importance of mental health, healthy masculinity, and supportive environments where boys and men can express themselves fully and authentically. When men are empowered to be their best, our families and communities grow stronger together.

✨ To all the men who lead with empathy, integrity, and courage—
We see you. We appreciate you. We stand with you.

Let’s continue to uplift one another and work toward a future rooted in equity, respect, and mutual empowerment.

🥸 Movember 2025: “The Moustache is Calling” — Let’s Answer It
This November, we’re joining a global movement to champion men’s health, under the banner of Movember Foundation. This year’s theme is “The Moustache is Calling”, because sometimes the smallest sign sparks the biggest conversation.

Why does it matter to us at Zera?

Men are often silent when it comes to their health — mental, emotional and physical.

Many of the health issues that affect men—like prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and suicidal thoughts—can be prevented or treated when they’re caught early and when men feel supported.

Growing a moustache isn’t just about facial hair — it’s a symbol that says: “I care. I will talk. I will listen.” It’s about community.

To every man in our community: make time for your health. Go for that check-up. Talk with someone. Ask for help.
To everyone (women, friends, family): help men know they’re not alone. Signal you’re listening. Signal you care.

Because this year, when the moustache calls, we respond — together.
Join us. Let’s make sure men in Botswana don’t just live, but live well.

🟢 World Hepatitis Day 2025 | “Hepatitis Can’t Wait” 🌍

Today, ZERA Foundation joins the global community in commemorating World Hepatitis Day — a day to raise awareness about hepatitis B and C, which affect over 350 million people worldwide.

🧬 Hepatitis is silent but deadly. It can go undetected for years, causing serious liver damage, cancer, and even death. Yet, it's preventable and treatable.

🎯 This year's theme, “Hepatitis Can’t Wait,” reminds us that communities, especially young people, cannot afford to delay action.

📢 ZERA Foundation calls on: ✔️ Young people to get informed and tested,
✔️ Health partners to expand access to hepatitis education in rural areas,
✔️ Parents and schools to support youth health awareness programs,
✔️ Leaders to invest in early prevention and stronger health systems.

Together, we can create a generation free from hepatitis. 🧡
Let’s talk. Let’s test. Let’s act.

đź’” The Reality Our Youth Face đź’”
Unemployment among young people is pushing many into gambling as a way to survive. This is a silent crisis affecting our communities, leading to financial ruin, stress, and mental health struggles.

At Zera Foundation, we believe in creating sustainable solutions through skills development, empowerment programs, and community support. Gambling is not the answer—opportunities and empowerment are!

Great News!
I was honoured to be given the opportunity to deliver a motivational speech at Gakhibana Primary School’s Prize Giving Ceremony, representing ZERA Foundation for Equity and Empowerment.

The theme was “Dare, Dream, and Deliver” — a powerful message encouraging young learners to be bold, believe in their dreams, and take action to achieve them.
It was a beautiful moment to inspire and uplift the next generation. 🙏🏽💫📚
