What Can DMSAC Do For You?
DMSAC stands for District Multi-Sectoral AIDS Committee. This is a group of stakeholders in Kgalagadi South who come together on a quarterly basis to oversee the response and activities surrounding HIV/AIDS in the district. They are working hard for the community, and therefore will share all of the activities with the people who matter most...You!
As many know, HIV/AIDS doesn’t just happen on its own. There are many factors that contribute to the spread of HIV/AIDS. Therefore, it makes sense that people from several different departments come together and share their diverse perspectives. DMSAC members include the following:
District AIDS Coordinator, Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission Coordinator, District Health Management Team, Health Promotion, Safe Male Circumcision Coordinator, Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture, Social & Community Development Office, Botswana Christian AIDS Intervention Programme (BOCAIP), Tebelopele, Peace Corps, Hospital Matron, ARV Coordinator, Tuberculosis Coordinator, Minister’s Fraternal, BONEPWA, Men’s Sector and Gender Affairs.
