We are building a safe, play-based learning space for children under five in Sefoke Ward Kgotla, Tlokweng — starting with what we have and growing with the support of our community.

Sefoke VDC Election Results

The Sefoke Ward Development Committee (VDC) elections were held on 14 August 2026 at Sefoke Kgotla.

We are pleased to announce the newly elected Sefoke VDC:

The Sefoke Ward sub-commitee presented a report on 12 August 2026, detailing what was contributed, how it was presented and they thanked the sefoke community for their support and patronage

Post-Event Update
The Committee reviewed the outcome of the Molomo Ceremony and the contributions mobilised through the sub-committee. The update focused on the donations received, their submission, and the utilisation/accountability of funds and contributions associated with the event.

Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer,presented the financial update relating to the Molomo Ceremony contributions.
The Treasurer reported on the contributions received against the P3,500.00 fundraising target, including the amounts collected and submitted for the ceremony.

The attendees noted the report and emphasised the importance of maintaining proper records of all contributions received and expenditure incurred.

The Treasurer was requested to ensure that supporting records, including donation forms and any relevant receipts or expenditure records, are retained for accountability and future reference.

The Sefoke Ward Development Committee is seeking partners to help equip Sefoke Play Group, a community initiative established to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children under five while their parents and guardians are at work. We are appealing to businesses, organisations and individuals to support us with age-appropriate play, learning and outdoor resources that will give our children meaningful opportunities to play, learn and grow. Every contribution, big or small, will help us build a stronger foundation for our youngest members of the community.
