Today cooperatives in Kweneng gathered around to celebrate, share experience, discuss governance and structuring of apex bodies during today's special annual general meeting held in Molepolole College of Education.
Around 150 cooperators from 30 cooperatives in Kweneng attended this prestigious event with guest delegates from Botswana Cooperative Association - BOCA and also graced by the Deputy Director in the Department of Cooperatives development.

Special attendance by our stakeholders from Local Enterprise Authority, Vunani Fund Managers Botswana, HRDC, Metropolitan Life Botswana who also graced the event to share their services and products with available personnel.

This is a huge step in developing the cooperative movement in Botswana by embracing the principles among them being Cooperation Among Cooperatives.

The impact of climate change varies with geography, economic status, and gender. Given India's population and levels of existing inequality and poverty, the already vulnerable and marginalised are affected the most by climate change.

From our experience of the COVID pandemic, informal women workers are the worst hit during any crisis.

Watch this space to hear from our women workers, in rural and urban areas, how climate change has been impacting them and how women’s collective enterprises play a role in mitigation.
