The organisation is focusing on addressing mental health issues, which are more than the absence of a mental disorder; it is the ability to think, learn, and understand one's emotions and the reactions of others. We have a mandate of coming up with ways in how to assist people living with mental disorders and to sensitize community m

embers . The organization does mental health empowerment sessions, counselling sessions, stress managements ,educate the community through campaigns,encourage clients to engage themselves in arts and sport activities as a form of therapy.

Masego Mental Health Organization, in partnership with the District AIDS Coordinator, proudly joined the Kweneng Month of Prayer Opening held at Molepolole Main Kgotla. 🙏🏾

Under the theme “A go nne le botshelo” (Let there be life), we came together to raise awareness, strengthen community support, and encourage collective action around HIV, NCDs, GBV, and other social challenges affecting our communities.

When communities, health stakeholders, and faith leaders work together, we create stronger pathways to healthier minds, healthier families, and healthier communities. 💚

🌿 Prioritising Mental Well-being. Strengthening Faith. Building Resilient Leaders.

Masego Mental Health Organization hosted a Mental Health Programme for Religious Leaders at UCCSA Molepolole.

We created a safe space to talk about emotions, stress, relationships, self-care, and breaking the stigma around mental health.

Because those who pour into others must also learn to pour into themselves. 💚

Together, we are building mentally healthier leaders and stronger communities.

Masego Mental Health at the Wellness Games & Walk of Protection 🏃🏾‍♀️🧠🛡️

Masego Mental Health Organization proudly took part in the Wellness Games & Walk of Protection Against Child Defilement, held at the Mogoditshane Main Kgotla.

The event brought together community members, traditional leadership, government departments, NGOs and other stakeholders through wellness activities, sports, the Walk of Protection and health screening, all united by one important message: protecting our children is everyone’s responsibility.

Under the theme, “Together for Our Children. Together for a Safer Botswana,” we continue to advocate for safe communities, mental well-being and the protection of children from abuse and exploitation.

At Masego Mental Health, we believe that protecting children also means creating communities where they feel safe, heard, supported and empowered to speak up.

Together, we can build a safer and mentally healthier Botswana. 🇧🇼💚

Masego Mental Health Organisation was honored to attend the NGOs - REGULATORS CONNECT: A RE BUE! capacity building meeting at Lemepe Lodge, Molepolole village.

Hosted by the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs, the session focused on Countering the Financing of Terrorism and strengthening compliance for Non-Profit Organisations in line with FATF Recommendation 8.

As mental health advocates, we believe that strong governance and transparency help us serve our communities better and protect the trust placed in us.
We appreciate the dialogue and collaboration between NPOs and Regulators aimed at strengthening the NPO sector in Botswana.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs, C**A, Civic Advisory Hub, Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and Ford Foundation for fostering this important dialogue.

Walk of Life, Walk of Protection 🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏾‍♂️💙

Masego Mental Health Organization took part in the Walk of Life, Walk of Protection Against Child Defilement in Kumakwane Village.

The event brought together Kgosi Seboni, the District AIDS Coordinator from Mogoditshane, Botswana National Sports Commission (BNSC), Botswana Police Service, community leaders, and members of the community in a united call to protect children and build safer communities.

The programme featured a powerful community walk, aerobics session, and health talks and speeches, creating space for education, awareness, dialogue and collective action.

As Masego Mental Health Organization, we believe that protecting children also means protecting their mental health, dignity and future. Preventing child defilement requires all of us families, communities, institutions and individuals to speak out, support survivors, report abuse and create safe environments where every child can thrive.

We are proud to announce that our Founder and Executive Director, Mr Edward Masukudu, will be speaking at the Southern Africa Civil Society Dialogue on Mental Health Integration & QualityRights 2026.

Mr Masukudu will contribute to the structured dialogue on “Safe Inclusion of Lived Experience in Advocacy, Programming and Leadership,” sharing insights drawn from both his professional work and lived experience.

At Masego Mental Health Organization, we believe that meaningful mental health systems are built by listening to and empowering people with lived experience. Their voices are essential in shaping inclusive policies, strengthening advocacy, and transforming services that truly respond to the needs of communities.

This invitation is not only a recognition of Mr Masukudu’s leadership, but also a testament to the work our organization continues to do in advancing mental health awareness, fighting stigma, and promoting recovery, dignity, and human rights.

🚶🏾‍♂️ WELLNESS WALK AGAINST CHILD DEFILEMENT 💙🖤

Today, Masego Mental Health Organization proudly joined the Moshupa District Wellness Walk Against Child Defilement in solidarity with the community and our partners to raise awareness and stand united in protecting every child.

Child protection is everyone’s responsibility. Together, we can create safe spaces where children are heard, protected, and empowered to thrive. Let us continue to speak out against abuse, promote mental well-being, and build communities where every child grows up free from violence and fear.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants, organizers, and partners who made this meaningful initiative a success. Together, we are taking steps toward a safer, healthier Botswana.
