Cultural and heritage tourism can change lives.
The indigenous communities of the Okavango : Wayeyi, Xhereku, Hambukushu, Khoesan, and Herero are the true keepers of the delta. Yet this generation has lost touch with their history. Our languages are endangered. Our culture is being eroded.
But these are the very foundations we need to build cultural tourism.
At Same Culture New Botswana we believe economic impact is one of the greatest gifts we can give our communities. When our culture becomes a livelihood, its preservation becomes a way of life.
We train local communities in their historic cultural heritage so they can develop products, guide experiences, and confidently share their way of life with the world.
Tourism shouldn’t overshadow us. It should sustain us.
When we earn from our culture, we protect it.
When we stand behind every name : Wayeyi, Xhereku, Hambukushu, Khoesan, Herero we preserve together.
