FORGIVENESS

Matthew 18:21, Luke 23:32, 1 Corinthians 10:13

✓ Most people are suffering from the diseases because of unforgiveness.
✓Unforgiveness is a tool used to destroy families and relationships.
✓It is like cancer.
✓ Unforgiveness comes uninvited, and the one who suffers most is the one who was hurt.

- Many people are sick and even die because of unforgiveness. It affects both physically and spiritually.

- When you do not forgive, you develop hatred. You become like an open bowl that receives everything.
- People who are hurt are the ones who carry the burden.
- Refuse to carry hurtful things done to you.
- Do not ignore what is affecting you; learn how to deal with it.
- It is you who decides what stays or passes in your life.
- You can choose what to take in and what not to take in.
- God has given us the power to forgive and expects us to forgive no matter the circumstances.

Text: Ezekiel 16:1-5

✓Miracles don't happen unless you are expectant of them.
✓ Ezekiel 16:1-5. The Bible says, 'As for your nativity, on the day you were born your navel cord was not cut.

✓Biologically, we all know a child in the womb is connected to the mother by the umbilical cord. It carries food and oxygen. At birth, that cord must be cut, otherwise the child cannot live an independent life.

✓In Africa, this cord is very significant. It is even connected to how we name our children.
✓Israel had gone into exile in Babylon.
✓Babylon means Babel, which means rebellion, and rebellion is like the sin of witchcraft.

✓Babylon was a center of idolatry. God had warned them,If they broke his commandments they will go into exile.' And it happened.
✓In Babylon they forgot who they were. They forgot they were a holy seed, a chosen people. They forgot the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and they joined the abominations of Babylon.

✓But God sent a prophet, Ezekiel.
✓ When there is a crisis in a family, in a church, or in a nation, God always raises a voice. And God told Ezekiel, 'Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations.
✓For some things to change, we must confront them! We need spiritual assistance to break spiritual resistance!
✓God was telling them, 'I am not surprised by what you are doing in Babylon.

✓Your problem is not Babylon, your problem is your nativity.' Your nativity is the place you were born.
✓The place you were born has influence over your destiny.
✓Your father's village, your mother's village - you cannot run away from it.
✓In that village there are demons attached to the land. There are clan spirits and totem spirits.

✓Every nation has its spirits, every village has its spirits.
✓ If your umbilical cord was not cut spiritually, you remain attached to those things.
✓That is why you see the same patterns repeating in your life.
✓we must cut the root.

✓- Allow God to transform you when you are in this church.
✓- Come to church because you know God is there.
✓- The church is _you_, not the building - _Matt 16:18_
✓- A church is a place for the called ones to worship - _Luke 4_
✓- God looks for true worshippers. He looks at your heart.

*2. Christianity & Leadership*
✓- Not easy, but there are rewards if you overcome.
✓- There are benefits in being a Christian.
✓- God answers every prayer - yes or no. When He says no, He gives reasons.
✓The number one enemy in your life is _yourself_, not the devil.
✓- What delays you are your own decisions.

3. Serving God
✓- Train yourself to overcome situations, people, and offenses.
✓- Don’t be spiritually paralysed by elders, neighbours, or church mates.
✓- Serve the Lord with all humility, in season and out of season.
✓- If you quit because of another man, you are not humble.
✓- Your ministry is needed in the church.
✓- Don’t be like the weather - changing all the time.
✓- In tears, still serve the Lord - _Phil 1:21 - To live is Christ.

*4. Transformation*
✓- Change if you want God to operate in your life.
✓- God does not need a long or short prayer; He needs your life to change.
✓- Enjoy God here on earth before heaven
✓- Be faithful with tithes.
✓- They can take everything, but not the God in you. We need the God of Ezekiel.

_Remember: God answers, protects, and heals us.
