This past weekend (5th, 6th, 7th and 10th March), Re Jala Peo hosted a meaningful workshop at Statunga facilitated by Sjouke Emmels from Super Hero Academy from the Netherlands.
The workshop focused on safe learning environment, understanding the effects of corporal punishment on children and exploring positive ways of guiding and disciplining children without instilling fear. Through open discussions and shared experiences, participants reflected on how educators and caregivers can create safer, more supportive environments for children to learn and grow.
The workshop was attended by teacher coordinators and head teachers from various schools in Maun, together with the Re Jala Peo team. Their participation shows a strong commitment to improving the well-being of children in our schools and communities.
