HOW TO RECEIVE THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST 🔥

Pastor Harry Jackson taught from Acts 1:8 and Mark 16:17-18 that the power, gifts, and promises found in the Gospel are for every believer. He emphasized that everything Jesus accomplished on the cross is available to all who believe, including the baptism of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues. No one is excluded from what God has made available through Christ.

The teaching highlighted that there are two separate experiences believers have with the Holy Spirit.

The first experience is salvation, where a person becomes born again and receives a new life through the Spirit of God. Through Acts 8:5, believers were reminded that salvation transforms and renews a person from within.

The second experience is receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. In Acts 8:12,17, Peter and John prayed for believers so they could receive the Holy Ghost after already believing in Christ. This showed that receiving the Holy Ghost is a distinct experience following salvation.

Acts 19:1 further revealed that when the Holy Ghost comes upon believers, speaking in tongues follows as evidence of that experience. Through John 20:21-23 and Acts 2:1-3, the message showed how the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and empowered by God.

Referencing 1 Corinthians 14:2 and 1 Corinthians 14:14-15, Pastor Harry Jackson explained that praying in tongues is praying in the Spirit, and believers can choose to pray both with understanding and in the Spirit. He encouraged believers that when hands are laid upon them, they must respond in faith and boldly begin to speak, trusting the Holy Spirit to fill them.

Ending with Luke 11:9, the church was encouraged to ask, seek, and knock, knowing that God is willing to give the Holy Spirit to those who desire Him. 🙌🔥

DO NOT BE AFRAID 🔥
Apostle Bill David

Apostle Bill David reminded believers through 2 Corinthians 10:3 that although we live in the flesh, our battles are spiritual. The weapons God has given His people are not carnal, but mighty through Him for the pulling down of strongholds and every argument that rises against the knowledge of God.

Using the example of a lion and a crocodile, he explained that victory depends on the environment of the battle. A crocodile may struggle on land, but once it gets into the water, it gains advantage. In the same way, believers must remain in the Spirit, because that is where their strength and victory are found.

He further illustrated that darkness can never overpower light. During the day it is difficult to make a room darker, but at night one switch of light removes darkness. This is why believers should never fear, because “He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world.” Through Christ, believers have authority over sickness, fear, and the attacks of the enemy.

Referencing John 10:10, he explained that the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. Yet one of the greatest things the enemy tries to steal from believers is faith. Hebrews 11:6 reminds believers that faith is essential in walking with God.

Drawing from I Kings 17:8,12,13, he spoke about the widow who initially responded with fear when Elijah asked her for bread, even though God had already instructed her. The real battle was faith versus fear. The message encouraged believers not to listen to the lies of the enemy, but to trust that God will never leave nor forsake them.

Through 2 Timothy 1:7, believers were reminded that God has not given them the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Fear does not always say “you will fail,” sometimes it whispers “what if it doesn’t work?” or “what if they are not healed when you pray?” But God calls His people to move in faith, not fear, knowing that He is always with them. 🙌🔥

THE LOVE OF THE FATHER ❤️🔥
Pastor T Lawson

Thomas Lawson reminded believers and evangelists that as ministers of the Gospel, we must constantly examine and cleanse our hearts before God. Referencing John 15:7-8, he emphasized the importance of abiding in Christ and allowing His Word to abide in us, because a fruitful life begins from staying connected to Jesus.

Through John 15:15, he encouraged believers not to be hearers of the Word only, but doers, stepping out in obedience to fulfill the call of evangelism. He further shared from John 15:10 that believers are not only called to abide in Christ and His Word, but also in His love.

Drawing from 1 John 4:8, he declared that God is love, and through John 17:17, he reminded the church that the truth of God sanctifies and transforms lives. He explained that it is the goodness and love of God that leads people to repentance, using the story of the prodigal son as an example of the Father’s unconditional love and mercy.

The message also highlighted that God reveals areas in our lives that need cleansing so that we may surrender them to Him and be transformed. Through John 1:12, believers were reminded that God has given them the power to become sons and daughters of God, carrying the character and nature of their Heavenly Father.

In John 17:26, Jesus prayed that the same love the Father placed in Him would also dwell in believers. Ending with Psalms 27:14, the church was encouraged to remain bound together with God, waiting on Him and allowing Him to transform their hearts daily. 🙌🔥

“The Holy Spirit is not going to do the work for us, He is our Helper, helping those who are willing to step out and do the work. When we move with the Gospel, preach the message, and act in faith, the Holy Spirit comes alongside us with power, signs, and miracles.” 🔥🙌
