This theme reflects our shared commitment to empowering young people with leadership skills, strengthening unity among youth, and building a generation that is intentional about creating positive change in their schools, communities, and beyond.

As we prepare for this important gathering of Student Representative Councils, school prefects, BYDO members, and young leaders from across Gaborone, we look forward to a powerful experience of learning, growth, teamwork, mentorship, and inspiration.

Understanding ADHD

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is more than just “being distracted” or “too energetic.” It is a mental health and neurodevelopmental condition that affects how a person focuses, manages emotions, organizes tasks, and controls impulses.

ADHD can affect children, youth, and adults — and many people live with it without even realizing it.

Common Signs of ADHD

✅ Difficulty concentrating
✅ Forgetting things easily
✅ Struggling to complete tasks
✅ Restlessness or constant movement
✅ Impulsive decisions or speaking without thinking
✅ Difficulty managing time and routines

Important Reminder

People living with ADHD are not lazy, careless, or unintelligent. Many are highly creative, talented, energetic, and innovative — they simply experience the world differently and may need understanding and support.

With deep sorrow and profound respect, Benggae Youth Development Organization joins the people of Botswana in mourning the passing of Former President, Dr Festus Gontebanye Mogae.

Dr Mogae’s leadership, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to national development helped shape Botswana into a beacon of peace, democracy, and progress. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to lead with humility, integrity, and vision.

In this difficult moment, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and the nation at large.

Today, we proudly unveil the official identity of Benggae Youth Development Organization (BYDO).

Our new logo is more than a design — it is a statement of who we are.

At the center is a rising figure shaped within the letter “B”, representing:

Youth taking charge. Growth from within. Leadership rising from our own land.

Our name stands boldly, with BENGGAE leading — a declaration that we are rooted in our identity as natives of this land, committed to leading and inspiring change.

We also introduce our official tagline:

“From Our Soils, We Rise.”

🟡 Gold — Sovereignty, excellence, and value
🟢 Green — Africa, growth, and the richness of our land
