The African Development Bank Group, through its Civil Society & Community Engagement Division, and in partnership with Botswana Council of NGOs co-organised the Civil Society Open Day (see flyer for more details).

A hybrid event that will bring together Civil Society Organisations(CSOs) and Government representatives to raise awareness and foster dialogue on the key highlights of Botswana's Country Strategy Paper (2022-2026), and its existing portfolio with CSOs as key stakeholders in achieving Botswana’s development objectives.

Thematic sessions will focus on three cross-cutting priorities:
-The Civil Society Engagement Action Plan 2024–2028;
- The draft Economic Competitiveness and Transformation Support (ECTSP - PBO) Programme for Botswana; and
- The Youth, Jobs, and Skills Marker System.

The central outcome of the event will be the launch of a new tripartite dialogue platform to strengthen strategic cooperation between the Bank, the Government of Botswana, and Civil Society Organisations.
