Orange Money Botswana has entered a nationwide partnership with the Taxi Association to accelerate the digitization of payments for Botswana’s public transport sector which sets to mark a strategic shift toward cashless commuter experiences and enhanced financial inclusion.

The partnership will see the large-scale branding of taxis and combis across the country, alongside the onboarding of public transport operators onto Orange Money DuelaEasy merchant accounts. According telecommunication operator the approach is designed to formalize and modernize payment systems within the transport ecosystem, while creating new revenue streams for operators.
