🍋🍊 Green Loop Foundation donates 200 citrus trees to the Sylast Foundation in Gabane!

The 100 trees planted today included grapefruit, lemon, orange, naartjie and lime varieties.

🌳🌳🌳 As part of our One Million Tree Campaign, this initiative contributes to a growing forest of economies, using trees not only to restore the environment, but also to create community spaces, support livelihoods and generate long-term value.

Green Loop Foundation will continue provide planting expertise and work with the Sylast Foundation to monitor the trees’ impact over time.

🌱 Planting for community, connection and lasting impact.

We’re in Gabane this morning, together with our partners Sylast Foundation and Agora Microfinance planting 100 citrus trees to support a dedicated community space for elderly women.

As part of our One Million Tree Campaign, today’s tree planting also reflects the idea of a forest of economies: using trees not only to restore the environment, but to create spaces, livelihoods and long-term community value.

Today, Green Loop Foundation joined other civil society organisations at the invitation of the EU Ambassador, Ms Petra Pereyra, to share local perspectives on priority sector needs, funding opportunities and existing barriers to advancing sustainable development in Botswana.

The discussion provided an important space for civil society to contribute practical insights and help shape approaches that respond to Botswana’s local realities.
