This Valentine’s Day, Man to Man dedicated the day to what love truly means, showing up for the community.

In alignment with our mission to combat Gender Based Violence, we were part of a space where women, men, children, and the elderly felt loved, seen, valued, and safe.

We believe that sustainable change begins with compassion, inclusion, and active community participation across all generations.

Spending time with our elders was a powerful reminder that a safer and more empathetic society is built when every voice is acknowledged and every generation is part of the conversation.

At Man to Man, love is demonstrated through service, advocacy, and unity.

Thank you so much Sylast Foundation 🙏 Kgetsi ya tsie e kgonwa ke go tshwaraganelwa 🤝

There are many narratives surrounding Gender Based Violence in Botswana. Over time, some of these narratives have shaped our thinking in harmful ways leading us to believe that Gender Based Violence is only a women’s and children’s issue. This mindset has created a gap between men and women and has divided us in how we approach abuse and violence in our communities.

At Man to Man, we believe that ending Gender Based Violence requires the active involvement of men and women in unity. Men are not spectators in this fight, they are key in breaking the cycle of violence. When men understand the significance of their role, real change becomes possible.

Men can stand with women and children as allies, leaders, and advocates by challenging harmful behaviors, holding each other accountable, and promoting respect within our homes, friendships, and communities.

Together, we can break the cycle of Gender Based Violence.

Formal Introduction of the Man to Man Botswana Foundation.

This week marked a deeply meaningful moment as we gathered the people of Rakhuna at the kgotla to formally introduce the Man to Man campaign. This is a campaign founded on unity, dialogue, and shared responsibility in the fight against Gender Based Violence.

Man to Man exists to serve as a uniting bridge between women, men and children, reminding us that gender based violence is not a battle to be fought in isolation, but one that can only be conquered through unity, understanding, and collective action.

The reception, engagement, and openness towards the vision and goals of this campaign were truly heartwarming and reaffirmed the importance of community led conversations.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Kgosi ya Rakhuna Rre Montshiwa, Councillor Mr Morena, and VDC Chairlady Mme Betty for their leadership, support, and commitment to making this gathering a success.
