OYC SECRETARY GENERAL CALLS FOR UNITY AMONG OVAHERERO PEOPLE
In an interview with Radio Botswana Station (RB1) reporter Pauline Diamond Ovaherero Youth Council (OYC) Secretary General Rudolph Kaijatura Kuzatjike emphasized the importance of unity in shaping the future of the Ovaherero people.
Speaking on the ongoing Ovaherero Genocide Remembrance Commemorations, Kuzatjike noted that the commemorations are not only a time to reflect on the painful history of the Ovaherero people but also an opportunity to draw strength from the resilience of previous generations.
He highlighted the need for solidarity, mutual respect, and collective action, urging Ovaherero communities across Botswana and beyond to work together in preserving their culture, language, and traditions while contributing meaningfully to national development.
Kuzatjike further stressed that the sacrifices of those who came before us should inspire a renewed commitment to unity, cultural preservation, and shared prosperity for future generations.
