Women in Mining Botswana Organisation (WiMBO) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Nthabiseng Nthabie Mmusi as our new Deputy Chairperson!

With over 13 years of mining experience, Nthabiseng is a SHEQ leader, author, mentor, Founder of S.H.E On Standby, Vice Chairperson of AfriSAFE and Convener of the SHERQ Impact Awards Botswana.

Passionate about people, progress and empowering women, she champions a mining industry where women are not only represented but also heard, valued and empowered to lead.

Congratulations, Nthabi! Your appointment marks another exciting chapter for WiMBO. We look forward to the leadership, experience and impact you will bring as we continue advancing women’s representation and leadership in the mining industry.

WiMBO at the Africa Mining Summit 2027

The Women in Mining Botswana Organisation (WiMBO) is excited to announce its participation in the Africa Mining Summit (AMS) taking place on 16–17 September 2026 at Phakalane Golf Estate, Gaborone, Botswana.

WIMBO members will also be participating in an important panel discussion:

“Beyond Representation: The Realities & Challenges Faced by Women in Mining.”

WiMBO Annual General Meeting Postponement

Dear WiMBO Members and Stakeholders,

Please be informed that the WiMBO Annual General Meeting (AGM) could not proceed as scheduled due to the required quorum not being met.

In accordance with Article 6.8 of the WiMBO Constitution, “At least Sixty percent of the total voting members present at a General Meeting shall form a quorum.” Article 6.9 further provides for the adjournment of the meeting where the required quorum is not achieved.

The AGM has therefore been postponed and rescheduled as follows:
