SUMMARY OF THE CHEMA CHEMA GUIDELINES

- Only informal businesses are eligible, whether registered or unregistered.
-Registered informal businesses must provide a trading license
-Unregistered busineses must provide an affidavit, a letter from a government department or from Kgosi.
-Citizens 18 years and above with Omang
-Applicant should not be formally employed and if employed should not be earning more than P48 000 per annum
-The maximum an applicant can receive at a time is P50 000 and only one application allowed at a time.
-The applicant can apply for a second loan once they clear the first loan.
-All applicants will be considered credit clear at the start
-The loan will be unsecured and attract a once off interest of 2.4%.
-Loans taken to "run" the business are payable over 6 months while those taken to "buy assets"/ equipment are payable in 12 months.
-All applicants are expected to/"shall" register with LEA prior to loan application
