CROWN CHECK WEEK’END | ROOTS, CULTURE & LEADERSHIP

This weekend, we feature our recent courtesy call on Kgatleng District leadership, including Kgosi Bana Sekai, Mothusa Kgosi Kgolo ya Bakgatla and Kgatleng District Council Chairman, Honourable Thabo Komane.

The visit introduced Espouse Crowns Foundation, its vision and flagship programmes, including the Little Miss Kgatleng Charity Pageant, while giving our Queens an opportunity to meet and engage with district leadership.

At Espouse Crowns, we believe that knowing our roots, celebrating our culture and understanding leadership are essential in raising confident, grounded young girls.

Beyond the crown — culture, identity and purpose.

Heart breaking🥲This is more than a statistic. It is a reminder that protecting the girl child requires all of us to act.

400 teenage pregnancies in North West in just the first six months of 2026.
This is a stark warning.
Childhood should not be cut short by teenage pregnancy.
Girls must be protected from violence, exploitation and unintended pregnancy - and supported to stay in school, learn and fulfil their potential. Protect childhood. Keep girls in school. Act now. Together, we can build a safer, brighter future for every child.

CROWN TALK TUESDAY | PARENT GUIDE

What Makes a Contestant Stand Out Besides Beauty?

Pageantry is about more than a beautiful dress, shoes or appearance. While presentation matters, what truly makes a contestant memorable is how she carries herself, communicates and connects with others.

Here are key qualities that make a contestant stand out:

1. Confidence
A confident contestant believes in herself and carries herself with assurance, without needing to be the loudest in the room.

2. Stage Presence
She knows how to walk, stand, smile and command attention when she steps onto the stage.

3. Communication Skills
She speaks clearly, confidently and respectfully, especially during interviews and question-and-answer sessions.

4. Personality & Authenticity
Judges want to see the girl behind the crown. Being genuine, warm and comfortable in her own personality makes her memorable.

5. Purpose & Passion
A contestant who understands her platform and genuinely cares about making a difference brings more than beauty to the competition.

6. Grace & Good Character
How she treats people, handles pressure and responds to both winning and losing says a lot about the queen she can become.

IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS

Help your child develop more than her appearance. Encourage her to:

Speak confidently,Read and learn,be respectful,Build good communication skills,Know her purpose,Be herself
and Treat others with kindness

When the crown is within reach…

The final two stand hand in hand, waiting for the announcement of the next queen. In a moment filled with anticipation, pride, nerves and emotion…

If you were the parent, friend or family member standing there, how would you feel and what would you do in that moment?

Would you hold your breath? Pray? Cry? Reach for her hand? Or simply smile with pride, knowing how far she has come?

CROWN TALK TUESDAY | QUEENS ON CROWNS

There is something special about queens on crowns witnessing other queens step into theirs.

Whether handing over the crown or simply coming to support, their presence at Little Miss Kgatleng Season 2 meant so much. It reminds every contestant that the crown is not just about winning , it is about inspiring, supporting and making room for the next girl to shine.

Queens on crowns. Queens supporting queens. The legacy continues.

CELEBRATING YEARS OF GRACE, VISION & PURPOSE

Crown Gems, today we honour and celebrate a Visionary Woman, a Mentor and an Advocate for the girl child. Her heart and passion for empowering girls gave birth to the Espouse Crowns dream.

In 2017, Founder Unity Grace began a journey of purpose by offering free mentorship sessions for girls at her house. What started with a few girls and a dream has grown into a bigger vision.

From humble beginnings, she has continued to inspire, mentor and create meaningful opportunities for girls to discover their potential, learn, grow and proudly own their crowns.

Happy Birthday Unity! Your dedication continues to leave a lasting impact. May your vision continue to grow and your life continue to inspire many.

Wishing you strength, wisdom, grace and greater impact in your new year!!!!
