Thus the foundation gives you the baton to protect cultural heritage and exhibit its relevance in modern day society's facets of life. aspects have a potential to enable us to uplift ourselves while at the same time building and nurturing our psycho-social being that then cement our cultural identities into small spaces, social groups, personal being, landscapes, villages, country and the entire global world. When we approach life from our cultural base as our point of departure, we are automatically cementing that development within a group's intellect and skills reserves. Thus such innovation always emanate from a strong place that embraces all and lead to the building of sustainable communities. Therefore OCHES Foundation's main philosophy and approach is to entice and encourage learning from a community's traditional and cultural intellect, lifestyles and skills and innovate towards modernity from that perspective. ENGAGED RESEARCH GRANTS - anthropological conversations through collaboration and engagement

I must say that I am re-loving the Wenner-Gren Foundation, after they made me aware of their ENGAGED RESEARCH GRANTS. In their own words"
"This program supports longstanding research partnerships that empower those who have historically been the subjects of anthropological research, rather than researchers themselves...The program supports projects that will make a significant contribution to anthropological conversations through collaboration and engagement.."
This in my view is a unique and noble approach in the era where knowledge is power that can be transformed for development: https://www.unesco.org/en/transforming-knowledge-africas-future

African practitioners in particular are awakening to the fact that most research and collaboration view them either subjects or as providers of knowledge, but rarely participants in its credit-bearing, academic disseminations etc. They are also equally concerned with NGOs that often make them subjects of fund raising, rather than partners.
