🎭✨ A LOOK BACK AT PEPONI: PLAY WITH PURPOSE!

It has been a month since the movement, creativity and storytelling that came together at our Peponi: Play with Purpose workshop! 💫

Young participants explored expression through dance and movement, connecting with the themes of Peponi in a creative space that encouraged them to think, move and tell stories in new ways.

A big thank you to our young participants and everyone who made this workshop possible and of course the House of Wondar dancers from Tanzania and France ! 🇹🇿🇫🇷🇧🇼

A significant milestone for Alliance Française de Gaborone as we officially handed over the site for our future French Language and Cultural Centre in Village to Botswana-based contractor Time 2 Build Bots Construction & Civil Works, marking the beginning of construction.

This project, designed and supervised by Lebone Architects, will create a permanent home with modern facilities for French language learning, professional training, artistic activities and cultural events. The first phase is expected to take approximately ten months to complete.

The milestone is particularly meaningful in 2026, as France and Botswana celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations, and reflects a shared commitment to strengthening education, culture and cooperation between our two countries.

A new chapter for Alliance Française de Gaborone is officially underway. 🇫🇷🇧🇼

🇫🇷✨ A celebration of achievement!

On 16 September, we gathered at the French Residence for a special DELF–DALF ceremony, celebrating our learners who took their French language journey from DELF Prim and DELF Junior to DELF Tout Public. 🎓📜

The programme was honoured by remarks from the Ambassador of France, H.E Valérie Baraban, alongside Anne-Charlotte Monneret, Directrice de l’Alliance Française de Gaborone, and Jane Banda, Courses & Exams Coordinator, who coordinated the ceremony.

A wonderful moment to recognise the dedication, progress and achievements of our learners. Félicitations à tous ! 🇫🇷👏
