Tumelo Bridget Balogi, CEO of Miss Curvy Africa and Founder of Women Beyond Size Botswana, continues to raise the Botswana flag high across the continent after being officially recognized as a Continental Icon during an awards ceremony held in Johannesburg over the weekend.

Balogi received the prestigious Continental Icon Award in recognition of her contribution to women empowerment, body positivity, leadership, and the promotion of African beauty and culture through the Miss Curvy Africa movement.

Speaking after receiving the award, Balogi expressed gratitude for the recognition and dedicated the achievement to Botswana, her supporters, and everyone who continues to believe in her vision.

“This recognition means a lot to me. It is a reminder that hard work, resilience, and purpose always speak louder. I am proud to represent Botswana on international platforms and to inspire women to embrace who they are fearlessly,” she said. She further revealed that this is only the beginning, as she is looking forward to receiving even more international recognitions and expanding her work across Africa.

Balogi also confirmed that she will soon be returning to Nigeria to continue pursuing opportunities in film production, marking another exciting chapter in her growing journey within the African entertainment and creative industry.

Her latest achievement continues to position her as one of Botswana’s influential women making a continental impact.
