This partnership is more than signatures on paper , it’s about bringing together education, innovation and industry to create opportunities that prepare young people for the future.🔥

Lobatse Senior said Day 1 wasn’t enough! 😮‍💨🔥💚

Day 2 came with even MORE energy, bigger conversations and smarter money moves that even the staff got hooked 🤭🤭

From budgeting and saving to planning ahead and making better financial decisions, the students didn’t just show up, they got involved, asked questions and put their knowledge to the test🧠🔥

Two days down and you understood the assignment😮‍💨🔥🫵🏾

Now be honest… which one is harder: SAVING money or sticking to a BUDGET? 👀😂👇🏾

Yesterday was all about turning money lessons into money moves😮‍💨🔥From budgeting and saving to planning for the future, the energy, participation and enthusiasm from the students were unmatched🙌🏾

One school at a time, we’re building a generation that knows how to earn it, plan it, save it and make it work💪🏾💸

I had P100 in my pocket. 💵

On my way home, I stopped by the shop.

I bought chocolate. 🍫
Then some chips — because why not? 😭

Until I got home.

“Did you buy the milk?” 🥛

…The milk. 😭😭😭

That was the ONE thing I actually went to the shop for!

The problem wasn’t that I didn’t have enough money.

I had enough. I just didn’t have a plan for it now regrets start coming in😭😂😂

And sometimes, that’s what financial literacy looks like in real life. It’s knowing the difference between “I can afford this” and “I should spend my money on this.”

It’s learning to plan before you spend, understanding your needs and wants, and making sure your money does what you need it to do before it does what you want it to do. 💡💰

Next week, we’re taking conversations just like this to Lobatse Senior Secondary School through the Financial Literacy Programme.📚🚀

Because good money habits don’t have to start when you get your first salary.They can start now.

🌱 “Mom, I planted a tree today!”

Imagine picking up your child from school and the first thing they tell you is, “I planted a tree today.” 🌳

Maybe they come home with a little soil on their hands, excited to tell you how they dug the ground, planted their tree and watered it. It may seem like a small moment, but years from now, that same child could look at that tree and say, “I planted this when I was in school.”

That’s what made our day at Pudulogong so special. The students weren’t just hearing about sustainability🥺 they were experiencing it for themselves.

Today, it was a seedling in the ground. Tomorrow, it could be a tree they proudly point to and remember: “I was part of this.” 🌱💚

Financial literacy is for everyone🫂❤️

Our Financial Literacy Programme continued at Pudulogong Centre in Mochudi, where we had an engaging and meaningful session with learners exploring the importance of making smart financial decisions.

From money management and saving to entrepreneurship and planning for the future, the learners actively participated, shared their ideas and showed that financial education is most powerful when everyone has a seat at the table. 🙌🏽

At Destination Imagination Botswana, we believe opportunities to learn, grow and build financial confidence should be inclusive and accessible to all learners.

One of our team members joined the station to talk about our Ready for Work Programme and the opportunities it creates for young people to build practical skills for the world beyond the classroom.

From financial literacy and entrepreneurship to workplace readiness, we’re committed to equipping young people with knowledge and skills that can make a real difference in their future.

Taking financial literacy beyond the classroom🔥❤️

We had an engaging and insightful session at Kgatleng Brigade as part of the Ready to Work Programme, where young people explored the importance of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and building skills for the world of work.

From discussing smart money decisions to exploring entrepreneurial ideas, the session was filled with interactive conversations, participation and practical learning. 🙌🏽

We’re proud to keep creating spaces where young people can learn, ask questions, share ideas and prepare themselves for a financially smarter future. 🌱💼
