Bhutan Cancer Society For Well-Informed Society EMPOWERMENT THROUGH KNOWLEDGE & HOPE no: CSOA/PBO-37). Objectives:

1.

Bhutan Cancer Society (BCS) is a public benefit organization (PBO) registered with Civil Society Organizations Authority of Bhutan (reg. BCS works on creating enabling environment to improve cancer care and support, and reduce incidence of cancer and premature deaths due to cancer through prevention, advocacy and research. Optimize prevention of cancer in collaboration with national and internatio

nal stakeholders through education, advocacy and research.

2. Provide social, spiritual, psychological and financial support (where needed) to cancer patients and caregivers.

3.Advocate and mobilize resources for cancer prevention, treatment, care and support.

4.Enhance quality of life for terminal cancer patients through care and support

5.Make available most accurate cancer information for both health care providers and cancer patients.

During the first half of 2026, the BCS Society convened two Board Meetings (27th and 28th)

The Board reviewed progress across Advocacy & Awareness, Care & Support, PBCR strengthening project, donor-funded projects, and Human Resource and Organisational Development.

The Board also reviewed and provided strategic guidance on the 2026-2028 Three-Year Workplan, and the 2026 Annual Workplan.
