The erstwhile DSP Solar Initiative (DSP-SI) has been transitioned into a formal legal corporate entity and is hereby incorporated as Norion Renewable Energy Limited (NREL) in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act of Bhutan, 2016. NREL is established as a Public Limited Company under the aegis of the Desuung Skilling Programme (DSP), His Majesty’s Secretariat (HMS).

The name “Norion” is derived from the combination of Nor (symbolizing wealth and prosperity) and ion (signifying energy and technology), thereby reflecting the Company’s vision and mandate to advance sustainable and innovative energy solutions in the Kingdom of Bhutan through the skilling of Desuups.

Closing Ceremony of Electrical and Solar Installation Basic Training
JWPTI Centre | 9 April 2026

The Electrical and Solar Installation Basic Training Programme successfully concluded today at the JWPTI Centre, marking a significant milestone for all participants. A total of 20 trainees, comprising 14 Desuups and 6 Gyelsups, successfully completed the programme.

The closing ceremony celebrated not only the completion of the training but also the commitment, discipline, and perseverance demonstrated by the trainees throughout the course. Equipped with foundational skills in electrical and solar installation, the graduates are now better prepared to contribute to sustainable development initiatives and community service.

The event underscored the importance of technical skilling in advancing green energy solutions and empowering youth with practical, future-ready capabilities.

Powering the Future! ⚡🔌

On March 20, 2026, we celebrated the bright conclusion of our Electrical Installation Programme at the DSP training centre Dzongkhalum, Trongsa.

Over the past 4 months, 24 dedicated participants have mastered the complexities of electrical systems through a rigorous blend of theory and hands-on practical application. The closing ceremony was a proud moment for our trainees, attended by the OIC, TCM, trainers, and management staff.

These graduates are now fully equipped to work independently, bringing essential skills to the field. We congratulate every trainee on this milestone and wish them a high-voltage career filled with success.
