The Lyrics says:

The wind gently blows,
and my heart flutters along with it.
I crossed mountains and valleys,
journeying far across the earth.

Here I have come, to a distant land,
leaving behind a loving family,
while carrying tears of sadness ahead of me. 😢😢😢

This song carries every struggling person's story.

Likewise, every person has their own story,
writing their own path toward their destination.
As a community sharing one common dream,
we join hands to fulfill a common goal.

Though the journey ahead may seem difficult,
we have already come this far,
and we will go far beyond this.

We may not be perfect,
but we are striving toward perfection through this journey.

Therefore, we kindly seek the opportunity
to show our skills, dedication, and potential.

C4SW is ready to change perceptions—but the real question is, are Bhutanese people ready to give us the opportunity instead of expatriate workers?

Today, we stand stronger than ever. As members of C4SW, we are continuously strengthening our skills in painting, welding, carpentry, and tile work. We are ready to take on any work with dedication, professionalism, and pride.

All we ask for is an opportunity. Trust us with the work, and we will prove our value through quality and commitment.

Let’s build Bhutan together

The Community for Skilled Workers (C4SW) is beginning to change the construction landscape for Bhutanese skilled workers, helping many who were once unemployed find work. Despite the long-held perception that Bhutanese workers are less capable than the foreign workers, the initiative is steadily challenging that view. Today, C4SW manages nearly 270 project sites and employs more than a thousand workers.

Chapter 2: A New Beginning for C4SW

With the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Community for Skilled Workers (C4SW), initiated by the Department of Labour under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment, Royal Government of Bhutan(MoICE), key decisions were undertaken to strengthen the organization’s structure and future direction.

The election process was conducted, during which the Chairman and Regional Coordinator were re-elected, ensuring continuity in leadership.

In addition, five new departments were formally established to better organize and represent skilled trades within the community. These departments include:
1) Electrical
2) Plumbing and Tiling
3) Painting
4) Carpentry & Welding
5) Masonry

Simultaneously, a significant milestone was achieved during the AGM with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Community for Skilled Workers (C4SW) and Technical Training Institute-Khuruthang. The agreement was signed in the presence of the Director General of the Department of Workforce Planning and Skills Development, Bhutan (DWPSD) under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD), and the Director of the Department of Labour under MoICE, as part of the ongoing three-day C4SW program.

This MoU represents a growing collaboration between key institutions committed to advancing skills development in Bhutan. The partnership aims to strengthen On-the-Job Training (OJT) by placing technical trainees under the guidance of experienced C4SW members, providing them with valuable real-world exposure, mentorship, and hands-on skills. To further support and motivate young trainees, C4SW offers a modest daily allowance in addition to the stipend provided by their respective institutes.

C4SW remains committed to guiding and encouraging Bhutanese youth to take pride in their trades, remain productively engaged, and contribute toward addressing the shortage of skilled manpower in the country. To date, the organization has already facilitated OJT opportunities for approximately 66 trainees from Technical Training Institutes (TTIs).

The three-day program, jointly organized by the Department of Labour under MoICE and C4SW, brought together around 150 Bhutanese plumbers and electricians from across the country. The gathering provided a platform to review progress, address challenges, and chart the way forward. It reflects a growing national movement toward building a skilled, confident, and self-reliant workforce.

The event concluded on a warm and humble note, with a simple get-together dinner hosted by C4SW members—an evening that reflected the unity, camaraderie, and shared purpose that continues to drive the community forward.
