Think you’ve got what it takes to wear the national jersey on the international stage? Here is your chance! We’re hosting an open-entry 3x3 tournament to scout and identify exceptional talent for 3x3 National Men's Team.

🏀 C-Region 3x3 High School Basketball Championship Success! 🏆

What an incredible tournament! The C-Region 3x3 brought together over 240 student-athletes from 30+ high schools across Thimphu, Paro, Punakha, Wangdue Phodrang, Haa, and Gasa to make basketball accessible to all! 🇧🇹✨

Huge congratulations to our champions and MVPs:
🥇 Girls’ Champions: Ugyen Academy (Runners-Up: Motithang HS) | MVP: Rigzin Thinley Wangzom

And that’s a wrap on the 3x3 Basketball Crash Course! 🏀🔥

Over the past three days, our participants dove deep into the dynamics of 3x3 basketball, gaining invaluable knowledge and skills. A huge thank you to Mr. Govinda for leading such an insightful and impactful training!

This course has successfully equipped the technical crew and officials for the upcoming C-Region 3x3 High School Championship, ensuring the games are regulated at the highest standard. What’s even more exciting? Many of our participants are already inspired to take 3x3 back to their own schools and colleges to organize their own tournaments! 🙌

The Central Region 3x3 High School Championships wrap up this Saturday, September 26th! Come support the teams as they battle it out for the trophy.

📍 Venue: Changlingmithang Outdoor Court
(🌧️ Rain Contingency: In case of rain, the tournament will move to the Thimphu Basketball Center)

While the holiday season is underway, the Basketball Federation of Bhutan (BFB) continues its focus on capacity building for sports educators.

Today, BFB officially launched the 3x3 Crash Course to prepare coaches, school sports instructors, and university students for the upcoming C-Region High School Finals.

The training is being conducted by Mr. Govinda Sharma, an accomplished coach and expert from India. We extend our deep appreciation and pride to all participating instructors and university students who have dedicated their vacation time to advance their technical skills and coaching knowledge.

This initiative is proudly funded by the India-Bhutan Foundation, Thimphu Secretariat / India in Bhutan (Embassy of India, Thimphu), Thimphu, reflecting the continued support and partnership in youth sports development in Bhutan.
