The Occupational First Aid Course was launched in Thimphu during the 5th International Conference on Occupational and Environmental Health, marking an important step toward improving emergency response in workplaces. With accidents often occurring without warning, timely first aid can save lives.

For the construction sector, this highlights the importance of having trained personnel on-site and building a strong safety culture. The Construction Association of Bhutan encourages all stakeholders to prioritize safety and first aid readiness in daily operations.

Workplace accidents can happen without warning, and in many cases, the first few minutes are critical. To this effect, an occupational first aid course was launched in the capital today as part of the 5th International Conference on Occupational and Environmental Health. Following the training, safety officers, supervisors, and workers across Bhutan are expected to be better prepared to respond quickly and effectively to workplace accidents, potentially saving lives on the job.
