Today’s awareness session under the Project “Women and Youth for Digital Anti-Corruption and Access to Justice” marked an important step toward building informed, confident, and responsible citizens. Bhutan Transparency Initiative (BTI) brought together 40 participants from four gewogs (Blocks) and the Lhuentse Thromde (Municipality), creating a diverse and vibrant space for learning and dialogue.
Further, we were deeply honoured by the gracious presence of Dasho Minjur Dorji, Dzongda (Governor) of Lhuentse, whose unprecedented words of wisdom and commitment to eradicate corruption in Bhutan added great value to the program. We will remain grateful to Dasho and leave no stones unturned to materialise our common pursuit.
The active engagement of women, youth, and elected people’s representatives reflected a strong commitment to promoting transparenc, accountability, integrity, digital civic responsibility, and access to justice, while also laying a solid foundation for the capacity-building training. We extend our sincere gratitude to Lhuentse Dzongkhag administration for taking part in the session and for appreciating this meaningful initiative.
Our heartfelt thanks also goes to the Digital Democracy Initiative (DDI), CIVICUS, and Accountability Lab (Accountability Lab) for their generous support in funding this project, which holds immense potential to empower communities through digital tools, civic knowledge, and collective action.
Together, we move forward with renewed purpose to strengthen transparency, accountability, integrity, and access to justice for all.
