We are pleased to announce our partnership with Planethos Pvt. Limited to bring high-efficiency electric cookstoves to households across Bhutan.
Supported by the Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of Singapore, this joint initiative aims to reduce indoor air pollution, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and promote healthier and more sustainable livelihoods for communities across the country.
Through this project, clean cooking stoves will be made available to the public at a subsidized cost, ensuring that community wellbeing remains the priority over commercial interests. By transitioning from traditional biomass-based cooking to clean electric cookstoves, we hope to reduce the burden of fuel collection, particularly for women and children, while also helping to conserve Bhutanโs rich natural resources.
This collaboration also creates opportunities for farmers and communities to benefit from carbon credit initiatives, contributing to Bhutanโs climate resilience and long-term environmental sustainability.
We warmly invite all stakeholders and community members to join us for a consultation meeting to discuss the project design, potential environmental and social impacts, sustainability assessments, and a feedback session. Your views, questions, concerns, and suggestions are important to us and will help shape the success of this initiative.
We are committed to ensuring that the project remains inclusive, transparent, and responsive to community needs. To support this, a grievance mechanism has been established to address any concerns or feedback that may arise during implementation.
Together, we can build a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for our communities while protecting our environment for generations to come.
Thank you for your support in this important initiative.
