Young Geykuel Drukdra and Geykuel Drukdra came together to spend their Friday evening on the basketball court, rejuvenating their minds, strengthening their bodies, and enjoying one another’s company.

More than just a game, basketball brought them together to foster friendship, teamwork, and camaraderie while also reminding the importance of maintaining both physical and mental well-being.

A healthy body and a healthy mind go hand in hand.

⛰️ 𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝘼𝙉 𝙅𝙐𝙎𝙏 𝘼 𝙃𝙄𝙆𝙀 🌿

Today, our little adventure took us to Dodedra, led by DRSC Vice Principal Lopen Yoezer and two senior Lopens. Together with little monks, GD, YGD, and our amazing student volunteers, we hiked through nature, sharing laughter, encouragement, and unforgettable moments.

Upon reaching Dodedra monastery, we gathered for prayers, taking time to reflect, cultivate gratitude, and reconnect with the Dharma in such a peaceful and sacred place.

Today's hike reminded us that the spiritual path isn't only found in temples—it can also be discovered in every mindful step, every shared smile, and every challenge we overcome together.
Here's to more adventures that strengthen our bodies, calm our minds, and help us grow together as one Dharma family😇🙏

𝙈𝙀𝙀𝙏 𝙊𝙐𝙍 𝙂𝙐𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝙎𝙋𝙀𝘼𝙆𝙀𝙍: 𝙇𝘼𝙈𝘼 𝙎𝙃𝙀𝙉𝙋𝙃𝙀𝙉 𝙕𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙋𝙊

𝙇𝘼𝙈𝘼 𝙎𝙃𝙀𝙉𝙋𝙃𝙀𝙉 𝙕𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙋𝙊, a Buddhist monk from Wales, has dedicated his life to improving the lives of others, particularly the youth of Bhutan. For over 15 years, he has worked tirelessly to support and rehabilitate individuals struggling with substance abuse, earning deep respect and gratitude throughout the country.

In 2015, His Majesty the King recognized Lama Shenphen’s selfless efforts in helping individuals access rehabilitation and supporting their reintegration into society through mentorship with the prestigious National Order of Merit (Gold).

Although born in the United Kingdom, Lama Shenphen spent over 28 years studying and practicing Buddhism in Taiwan and Japan before finding his spiritual home in Bhutan.

His approach goes beyond traditional support, emphasizing the importance of understanding the root causes of addiction and offering guidance through compassion, meditation, and counselling.

Additionally, Lama Shenphen shares his insights and experiences widely through platforms such as Kuensel and Tashi Delek Magazine, continuing to raise awareness and inspire change.

Join us for a Q&A session with Lama Shenphen Zangpo, where he will share his thoughts in response to questions from the youth.
